Kakao Ventures has recruited Lim Hyung-chul, CEO of Blocore, as a “value-up partner” in the Web 3 category.

According to an industry on the 6th, Kakao Ventures is operating a value-up partnership, an investment growth support program involving experts in games, blockchain, growth hacking, and organizational management.

Through this recruitment, CEO Lim became a partner in the Web 3 category of the value-up partnership program. Web3 is a generic term for decentralized next-generation Internet technology, including blockchain-based distributed platforms, irreplaceable tokens (NFT), and metaverse.

CEO Lim dropped out of Seoul National University’s Department of Chemical Biotechnology and founded “Game Berry,” a mobile game and ad-tech company, in 2011. Since then, he has been selected as the “30 influential Asian leaders under the age of 30” announced by Forbes in 2017.

In 2018, Blocore, a blockchain investment company, was established and 50 companies, including The Sandbox, Animoca Brands, WeMix, and Clayton, were initially discovered.

He is currently a founding partner of Singapore’s venture capital TGV (True Global Ventures).
